Fifth Scientific Meeting

The Department of Computer Science and Information held the fifth scientific meeting of the academic year 1438/1439 in the presence of the Head of Computer Science and Information Department.
In this meeting, Dr. Loai Bani Melhem presented a research paper entitled: Obstacle Detection on Railway Tracks Using Vibration Sensors.

The presenter discussed how to employ Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) to detect the various obstacles on the train track and the most important of these sand traps.

The impact of these obstacles on the rail transport system and the extent of losses that could be caused were also discussed.
