Objectives:
- Promote a culture of scientific research in the Majmaah University.
- Encourage and attract undergraduate students at the university to have the skills and values of scientific research.
- Creating an attractive environment that supports excellence, creativity for new generation of researchers in various scientific fields.
- Encourage an initiative for students to do scientific research under the supervision of the faculty members in all fields and to provide the financial funding for them.
- Strengthening the role of the Deanship of Scientific Research to encourage and support research.
- Increase the scientific production and scientific publications and improve its quality.
- Strengthening the communication between researchers, students and faculty members.
Rules and Regulations
A. Students
- The student should pass his / her first year grade with GPA not less than 4.00
- It remains on the student graduation from the University at least a period of research presented at the acceptance.
- Student is evaluated quarterly by the supervisor during the period of implementation of the research project.
- It is not allowed for the student to participate in more than one research during the period of performing the research.
- It does not require that the research project is in the same field of the academic specialization of the student.
- The priority for the acceptance is for the student who was not involved earlier in research project.
- Commitment to apply for the research project support for supervising committee during the specified time period.
- Time of performing the research project is one year from the date of signing the contract.
- The research projects should be ready for implementation once the contract is signed.
- Commitment to deliver research project during the time period specified.
- Financial support value is 15 thousand riyals, which allocates ten thousand to cover research expenses, and five thousand reward for the student when the project is finished with the report of validity.
- The published research project must include thanks to the Deanship of Scientific Research at the Majmaah University for its role in financing the project.
B. Supervisors from Staff Members
- Staff member should be still work in the Majmaah University.
- Have at least the degree of PhD.
- Submit a quarterly report and a final report on the research project.
- Supervisor should give an apology when he/she cannot continue to supervise with enough time and nominate another supervisor with no delay in the implementation of the project.
- The supervisor is responsible for the financial supervision of the research project where it records the amount of ten (10) thousand riyals in his name, to cover the expenses of search.
- After publishing a research paper, a financial reward is offered divided by two thirds for supervisor and one-third of the student. The value is determined based on the journal where the research is published as previously mentioned.

- The choice of the research projects is performed by the relevant committee.
- Signing of the contract with each of the student and the supervisor.
