Overview
The Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research is a faculty member assigned with supervising postgraduate studies, funding scientific research, supporting community service, and following up on scholarship students’ affairs at the college, in coordination with the college dean.
Report to:
The vice-dean reports to the dean of the College and is a member of the College Council.
Duties of the Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research:
1- Propose college policies related to graduate studies and ensure they are implemented.
2- Follow up on the affairs of postgraduate students at the college.
3- Supervise postgraduate programs at the college.
4- Supervise the preparation of the college’s scientific research plan and developing mechanisms for its implementation.
5 - Develop the college’s facilities and potential in the field of scientific research.
6 - Communicate with the Deanship of Scientific Research, research centers and other research institutions with regard to conducting research in coordination with the Dean of the College.
7- Provide support and funding for research in coordination with the Dean of the College.
8 - Encourage the establishment of research centers of excellence.
A9 - Propose mechanisms to implement scholarship policies at the college.
10- Supervise the follow-up of the college’s scholarship students.
11 - Supervise the programs offered by the college to serve the community.
12- Develop the college’s human and intellectual capacity to achieve high quality and future excellence in the fields of education, scientific research, and community service.
