Community Service Unit

Introduction

This unit specializes in the planning and organization of community service programs offered by the college and its affiliates. It seeks to endorse the quality of medical and health services provided to the community to promote the concept of comprehensive civilizational development and spread knowledge in the governorates served by the University

Mission

To contribute in the spreading of sound health culture, scientific consciousness and medical training for all segments of the society

Objectives

  1. Establish an excellent social partnership
  2. Identify the needs of government and private sectors in terms of training and services through surveys and face-to-face visits

Ensure that associations and bodies working in the health sector can benefit from experienced faculty members      

  1. Keep up-to-date with scientific and professional advancements in the field of community service
  2. Communicate with universities, academic bodies, research centers working in the field of community service locally and internationally
  3. Guide brilliant college students wishing to serve the community to the best paths in the matter and invest their energy to serve and develop the community
  4. Spread Islamic, health, cultural and social consciousness among community members and in cooperation with competent authorities

Duties of unit

  1. Check, organize, document and develop the community service activities
  2. Encourage college affiliates to participate in community service activities
  3.  Follow up the documentation of the activities such as (advising, treatments, lectures etc)  Issue certificates of held activities
  4. Receive and archive forms of participation in community service activities
  5. Prepare reports on community service activities and submit them to the college vice dean
  6. Assess the contribution of the college to the community service activities and events
  7. Coordinate with high schools to organize visits to introduce the different college departments
