The Electronic Center for Assessment Holds the First Workshop for Establishing and Managing Electronic Questions Banks

In the presence of his Excellency the Dean of Faculty of Sciences Dr. Mohammad Saleh Aloboudi, his Excellency the faculty vice Dean for Quality and Skills Development Dr. Mufawwaz Alharbi and a group of teaching staff, the Faculty of Sciences, represented by the electronic center for assessment held a workshop entitled “Establishing and Managing Electronic Questions Banks Using the system of Electronic Learning D2L”. His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim Sha’arani, the executive director of the center, explained that this particular worksop falls under the center’s plan for providing a number of workshops that help to train the teaching staff in the faculty to establish and manage questions banks and electronic examinations. The faculty seeks to enhance the teaching staff qualifications in the faculty in this aspect as well as to spread the culture of electronic examinations in order to replace the paper-based traditional examinations. The workshop discussed several axes: the kinds of questions available in the system; establishing questions banks; forming questions; deleting and adding the questions to the questions banks; managing questions banks and editing them; transferring and copying the questions within questions banks; creating categories for the questions and importing questions to the questions banks.
