Department of Special Education Celebrates the International Day for Persons with Disabilities in Collaboration with Student Activity at the Faculty of Education in Majmaah

The Department of Special Education at the Faculty of Education in Majmaah has celebrated the International Day for Persons with Disabilities, on Tuesday 02/02/1436 H; therefore, this celebration has revolved about topics affecting what the Kingdom does do in this regard, as well as what the Kingdom does provide of efforts, money, attention and care (medical, educational, economic, social and sports services) for those persons with disabilities. Thus, Dean of the College, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Ahmed Al Sabet, has initiated this celebration by his speech, in which he appreciated the great efforts done in the care of persons with disabilities in the field of (education or service or care or employment), also he pointed out to what is being taken of policies , or employed the potentials in all sectors of the state- each according to its terms of reference- as a desire to develop the sense of belonging among those people, and achieve their welfare , and make them exercise their lives without troubles or hardships like all other people in the community. Then, Head of Department, Dr. Fahd Al Jaduo, delivered a speech in which he stressed the importance of the relevant scientific departments, and what do they do of scientific research that could benefit and serve those people with disabilities , take care of them as well as pay attention and help them. Furthermore, some of faculty members, and the like in the department such as (Dr. Khaled Arab, Dr. Wasef Al Ayed, Dr. Abdulbaqi Muhammad, Dr. Abdulhamid Haji Amin, and Mr. Abdulaziz Al Said) have played an important role in the revival of this celebration in their own speech and papers that had a deep impact through their inputs of information or stories affecting those persons with disabilities. Also, some students took part in the revival of this celebration such as (Abdullah Al-Saeed and Mohammed Abdullah Al-Turki and Hamad Al-Anzi), where they participated in patterns of different forms, then the speech of Dr. Abdulrahman bin Sulaiman Al Tawalah, Vice Dean for Educational Affairs and Student Affairs, was a good conclusion to this celebration; in which he stressed on the importance of celebrating such of those students and highlight their roles, also he expressed his thanks to the Department of Special Education and the Secretary of Student Activity, Dr. Al Sayed Yahya, who were in charge of this celebration.
