Tasks of the Centre

 

In order to achieve the objectives of the office of the Counselling and Guidance, the office has decided the following course actions and activities to ensure their achievements:

  1. Prepare the guidance bill-boards for students to clarify the importance and objectives of Academic Guidance.
  2. Welcome the fresh students and answer their questions and inquiries.
  3. Interview the students at the beginning of each semester to enlighten them with the importance and objectives of the Academic Guidance.
  4. Follow-up the process and mechanism of distributing the fresh students to the Academic Counselors by specialty supervisors.
  5. Supervision and follow-up of the implementation procedures and instructions of the Academic Guidance, and help the counsellors to ensure the realization of the importance of the Guidance process and its role in improving the academic environment in the university.
  6. Identify and follow-up the cases of extra hours for students with academic warnings.
  7. Study and follow-up the cases that are referred to the office by the staff of the   College.
  8. Provide help and assistance for the students heading to the office immediately, then the student is directed to the Student's Academic Counselor.
  9. Follow-up the cases that have been referred to the appropriate Academic Counselor.
  10. Refer the students who are academically dismissed and whose names are sent from the university to the office to make the counselling opinion about them before the final decision is made in the College Board.
  11. Provide the supervisory services for the student and answer his questions.
  12. Refer the issues that cannot be settled in the College Board to his Excellency the Dean of the College.
